I am co-curator along with three friends of a small indipendant non-profit art gallery.With the aim of making the most out of a neglected and unused space the Bunker Gallery has successfully turned a once baron environment into a diverse and productive venue for the art community of Leeds. Found hidden in a unique underground and residential location, the Bunker has been hosting some of the most intriguing art exhibitions in Leeds since the summer of 2006 and intends to continue this trend into 2007. With a host of exhibitions already undertaken the space has given light to a variety of mediums including photography, illustration, typography, and film amongst others and hopes to maintain this variation with the inclusion of live music, super 8 film and a site specific instillation included in our exhibition schedule for 2007 (see events page for details)

With the focus of offering opportunities to students and local artists to showcase their work, and equally be inspired by others, the Bunker Gallery also intends to highlight the limitless possibility and opportunities of unused space. As a non-profit and independent gallery we hope to serve as further proof that the opportunity to create little beacons of cultural activity do not have to be limited to confines of conventional environments.
