One may become familiar with a typeface. One may use it frequently. What is behind a typeface? After looking into readable sans-serif’s i became engrossed with Gill Sans, the popular face used internationally from the BBC to roadsigns. I looked into the life and works of Eric Gill and was suprised to find out about his rather extrovert lifestyle so i made this poster on the typeface. Not quite finished, body text and title needs work, and the grids are rather messed up, but downloadable pdf link follows.
I plan to update this font soon for more modernistic applications.

Typographic piece based on a John Cage poem discussing America’s ethics. I have tried to make the type fit with 60’s corporate images. The authors name is a serif font, distancing himself from the piece.

Created with a fellow student. An A5 embossed magazine exploring the notion of the British Standard colour palette that is used throughout Britain. The magazine contains articles and graphical pieces that are representational to the content that they explore. The magazine also contained an A2 pull out poster substituting the British Standard colour palette for names of our own.
